Do Now #1: Introduction To Flash Animations

I do not know a lot about Flash Animation but I hope, to learn more about it this coming year. My favorite animated movie is Toy Story. I know every single line from that movie and can watch it over and over again. I even remember seeing the second one in theater. It is an amazing movie full with action and adventure. It’s also full a lovable characters such as Buzz and Woody, Hamm, Slinky and Mr. Potato Head.

The Perfect Speech

When displaying data to an open floor in front of an audience, it is important to keep in mind what the main point is for this announcement is for. I feel it is easy to do a presentation and i find no trouble getting in front of an audience presenting info. I feel its an easy thing to do. The key element in a speech is to have correct data, but also keep an audience entertained. Power Point is useful because it helps you show data, not just talk about it which will help you not only in your high school career, but your professional career too.

My Shopping List

One of the major struggles I found while making this list was, what to put on it. After a lot of thinking I came to the conclusion on what i needed and what i wanted. It is important to have a budget sheet to manage your shopping before you get to the store. After this project I have a better understanding of how expensive food is and I enjoyed working on this project.

Black History Month: Will Smith

Will Smith is  an actor, producer, and rapper. He has hit every aspect of acting by being in movies,television shows, and even local theater. In the late eighties he achieved modest fame as a rapper under the name The Fresh Prince, than in 1990, his celebrity status climaxed dramatically when he starred in the popular television series the Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air. The show ran for nearly six years. Then a year before The Prince’s end, he landed a role on the blockbuster film, Bad Boys. After a continues reign of movie hits he became  the only actor in history to have eight consecutive films gross over $100 million in the domestic box office as well as being the only actor to have eight consecutive films in which he’s starred open at the #1 spot in the box office .Most like his television alter-ego on The Prince Of Bel-Air, he was too born and raised in west Philadelphia. With his charming and smooth style in school resulted in the nickname “Prince”, which eventually turned into the “Fresh Prince”. While he was a teen Smith began rapping and eventually began working with Jeff Townes (A.K.A. DJ Jazzy), he also played Jazz , Will’s good friend on The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air. To this date he has over twenty-five movie credits, produced more than twelve films and wrote two. He also has four recorded albums. He is a movie-icon, a legend, and over all a phenomenal actor, and producer, who’s acting career will continue to grow for years to come.

The Right College For Me

On CollegeBoard. com I sifted through many colleges that offered many of the same things. Only a hand few have what I want. I’m searching for a college where I could major in Film Production, and minor in Theatrical Directing or English.  The Colleges I chose have these courses available for me. Those Colleges are State University of New York at Binghampton, Boston University, New York University, Bard College, City University of New York, and the Art Institute. These schools’ costs, sizes range from $4,929 – $39,880 and from a small school environment to a larger one.If I could narrow down my choices to only three or four schools, they would have to be State University of New York at Binghampton, Boston University, New York University and Bard College, but what would be a final decider will be actually going to the colleges and seeing where I feel most comfortable.

The world-wide-web is like a playground for online predators. Some of the most popular sites such as Facebook and Myspace are taking things to new levels to prevent the occurrence of cyber-stalking and cyber-predators. The founder and CEO of Facebook, CEO Mark Zuckerberg has announced in an open letter to all Facebook users of a series of privacy changes, starting with the removal of regional networks. Facebook is an online chat based website where people can share their lives behind a screen and a keyboard. The reason for the deletion of networks is because Facebook has been worried for its users, which statitsc are growing every day, and they Facebook CO. do not want to be in a position of having to deal with sex offenders. Even though the world-wide-web may sound like a dangerous place, with the help of the creators of many chat-based websites, it might not have to be so scary.

How Columbus Discovered America: The Real Story!

The year was 1691 and my good friend Christopher Columbus and I were sailing the ocean blue, on a small boat I made in search for the Leprechaun’s pot of gold. We searched and followed a rainbow for days until finally we saw a thin piece of land, and the end of the rainbow. We were so happy, and that night we talked about what we would do with the money. Then I started to see a change in Chris, he became very quiet and he kept to himself. Then after a day or so Columbus threw me overboard, as he drove away laughing. I then found a piece of wood that kept me afloat. I drifted for a few hours until I saw an object floating in the ocean. It then came closer and I saw it to be a blue ball. I then picked up the ball and wiped off the water to see what was written on it. As I took the ball, a Genie flew out of it and he granted me three wishes. I then thought long and hard and I gave him my first wish. My first wish was to be dry and on the land we found. I then appeared there and I saw the rainbow’s end and the gold. I then wished that Columbus will be sent back home, and his ship then turned around and drove him back to Italy. I then took the gold and I wished to be home, and so it happened. Then back in Italy, Columbus assembled a bunch of people to go back on his voyage to find the gold not knowing I already had it. He then took three ships along the Atlantic Ocean and  back to the land we found. The year was 1692 and he searched the whole land for the gold and then finally gave up, in grief for his thought of killing me he named the land after me. What’s that? Oh, my name? My name is  Frabritzio Antonio Mercutio America, but Columbus just named the land America.

College: The Rode To My Future

The world is growing, and with it so are the people. Everything grows and develops at one point or another, that’s the way the world works. A thing very dear to me had changed, it went from filmed and edited piece by peace to digitally recorded, uploaded and edited all on a computer. The world of media arts is extremely interesting to me and something I have loved ever since I was a child. The sad thing about it there are very few colleges that have this program enrolled in it.

Luckily the Art Institutes  have this program and many more. They offer Bachelor and Associates   degrees in Animation & Special Effects, Audio/Video & Film Production, Game Design & Programing, Photography, and  Web Design & Interactive Media. They offer many things for young adults interested in this field. The Art Institutes also have a Design Program, a Fashion Program, and a Culinary Program.

The Art Institutes have forty different school locations all over America. The one I’m most interested in is the school in New York for Digital Film Making, in this program you are taught all about Video production. Everything from sports coverage to news programming, Internet broadcasts, and television commercials. This Programs teaches the skills needed to effectively operate a camera and  to work and process film in analog formats  and digital formats which will eventually lead to a final production.

College  is a very scary thing to thing about, but with the proper tools such as College magazines and the use of the internet it may not be so scary. You can take all the information given and help you come to a conclusion. I will definitely look into this college. It has what I want and is relatively close. Also with a degree from this wonderful school I could go and could combine all of the things creative entertainment pieces.
